Keri Coleman Norris

With a strong track record in corporate leadership, regulatory compliance, and legal technology, Keri has built and managed high-performing legal teams while maintaining fiscal responsibility and strategic growth.

Keri spent nearly 20 years at Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. (LegalShield), where she served as Chief Legal Officer and Chief of Lawyer Services. During her tenure, she established and led the company’s first legal department, managed regulatory compliance, and oversaw a proprietary network of over 40 contract law firms and 4,000 independent lawyers delivering legal services to millions of customers annually. She played a key role in modernizing insurance laws and state bar regulations in numerous states, developing proprietary legal technology, and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor lawyer performance. She also led the company’s private equity transactions, including taking the company private in 2011 and facilitating its resale in 2018.

Beyond her corporate career, Keri is deeply committed to public service and legal education. She is an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business, teaching Business Law. She was twice elected to the Ada Public Schools Board of Education, where she provided leadership during​ financial crises and the COVID-19 pandemic.

A member of Leadership Oklahoma Class XX, she has served on numerous boards, including currently serving on the boards of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and Mercy Hospital Foundation Oklahoma City.

​​Her expertise spans legal operations, corporate governance, regulatory affairs, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and strategic planning. As a forward-thinking leader, Keri remains dedicated to bridging the gap between law and business, championing innovative legal solutions, and fostering access to justice for all.

Keri holds a Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating as the outstanding woman graduate and a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar,, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, summa cum laude, from Oklahoma City University, graduating first in her class. She is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma and North Carolina and has been an influential voice in the legal community through her leadership roles with the American Bar Association and various legal services organizations.

Originally from Ada, Oklahoma, Keri now resides in Oklahoma City with her family and is a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
